New Bangs- Not sure about them but change is nice

In kate spade on December 2, 2009 at 9:59 pm

Ok I am impulsive and when I set my mind to something, I do it.  So it was with the bangs.  We saw this really cute girl named Tammy at the Kate Spade Outlet when Maddy and I were shopping on Wednesday.  She had the cutest bangs.  I thought to myself, why not give myself bangs…well on Thursday after thanksgiving dinner, I went in the bathroom and cut them off.  Then I proceeded to cut madeline’ s bangs too. I do like them much better when my hair is up.  I will have to get used to  them or grow them out again.  They are pretty versatile because I can push them to the side or even clip them back all the way.

Christmas 2009 Decor

In Black and White, Christmas, Decorating on December 2, 2009 at 9:45 pm

This year I just put out minimal decor because we are leaving early for the Christmas Cruise and won’t be able to enjoy it over the holiday.  I put the tree in the breakfast room where we have most of our meals so we would be able to see it all lit up at night while we were eating.  It is on a rotating tree base which is so cool but I didn’t know it was rotating when we bought it.  What a surprise!  I usually put the tree in a big black urn but the urn is outside full of dirt and I didn’t want to deal with having to clean it up and bring it inside this year. I just love Christmas time!

Lilly Love!

In Lilly Pulitzer, Uncategorized on December 1, 2009 at 1:45 am

Maddy and I were gathering up our Lilly Pulitzer to pack for our Christmas cruise and we got so excited seeing them all together.  We took a picture so we could share the joy!  These dresses and skirts will be our wardrobe the whole time we are vacationing.  Some of the skirts are reversible so they can be worn twice!  We have monkeys, lions, turtles, flowers and lots of palm trees.  The next task is to match the jewelry, shoes and other accessories with the clothing.  I will post some of the outfits when we get them paired up.  We also have the formal nights to plan for.  I have one dress planned but still need some type of wrap for it.  I am on the lookout for a second dress and I don’t have much time….or extra cash.
